When is my booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed once we have received and secured your payment. Until payment is made, the booking remains tentative.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy requires you to cancel at least 7 days before your check-in date to receive a full refund, otherwise it's non-refundable.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is at 3 PM, but guests can check in until 11:30 PM with prior notice. Check-out is at 10 AM. For early check-in and late check-out, we will charge £20.00.
What is the check-in procedure?
The hotel is a self check-in and all doors are keyless. Door code and access instruction is emailed 4 hours before the check-in date. While for same day booking, it's sent minutes of the reservation.
How does the keyless entry system work?
Our keyless entry system generates a unique code for each guest. This code allows access to both the front door and your designated room.
When will I receive my access code?
You will receive your access code via email or text message on the day of your arrival, just before the 3 PM check-in time. For late check-ins, the code will be sent at 6 PM.
What happens if I lose or forget my access code?
You can send an inquiry to hello@briarcroft-hotel.com with your reservation number and the primary guest's name. Alternatively, you may contact us via WhatsApp.
Is the keyless entry system secure?
Yes, our keyless entry system is highly secure. Each access code is unique and time-sensitive, ensuring that only you and your party can access your room during your stay.
Is smoking or vaping allowed in the hotel?
No, smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited.
What should I do if I encounter any issues with entry to the building?
Please note that we do not have reception staff available on-site 24 hours a day. If you encounter any issues with entry to the building, please contact our management team at hello@briarcroft-hotel.com.
Does the hotel provide laundry facilities?
Yes, our hotel provides a dedicated laundry room equipped with washing machines, dryers, as well as an iron and ironing board for your convenience.
Are there discounts available for longer stays?
Yes, we offer discounts on longer stays for contractors. Simply send us an email at hotel@briarcroft-hotel.com for more information.
What amenities are available in the communal kitchen?
Our communal kitchen features a combi microwave oven, coffee maker, fridge, and hobs for your convenience.
How can I access the Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi login details can be found on business cards in each room with QR codes.
Where can I deposit tips for the staff?
Each room contains a business card with a QR code where you can deposit your tips.
Does the hotel offer breakfast?
No, we do not offer breakfast. However, you can find a list of contact details for nearby restaurants that offer breakfast on our website.
Is parking available at the hotel?
No, our hotel does not offer private parking facilities. However, street parking is available nearby, subject to availability and local regulations.
Is there Park and Ride service near the hotel?
There isn't a dedicated Park and Ride service directly from Goole to York. However, there are multiple ways to travel between these two locations using public transport:
Bus Services: You can take a bus from Goole to York. Arriva Yorkshire operates a service that runs every few hours from Goole Boothferry Road to York. The journey takes about 46 minutes and costs approximately £3-5 (Rome2Rio) (Rome2Rio).
Train Services: Alternatively, you can take a train from Goole to York. Trains are available with connections at Doncaster, operated by Northern Rail. The total travel time varies based on the connection times but generally takes around 1 to 1.5 hours (Rome2Rio).
In York, the Park and Ride system is extensive and includes six main sites: Askham Bar, Grimston Bar, Monks Cross, Rawcliffe Bar, Poppleton Bar, and York Designer Outlet. These services are frequent, running up to every ten minutes during peak times, and provide convenient access to various parts of the city
